Husband, Father and Son…

 

Roger B. Perkins, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at the age of 77.

 

Roger was united in matrimony to Linda D. Perkins, of McComb, Mississippi and was father to Kimberly Perkins McLeod, of Silver Spring, Maryland and Byron K. Perkins of St. Louis, Missouri.

 

Roger attended Carter G. Woodson High School and graduated from Hardin-Simmons University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

 

Roger and Linda moved to St. Charles, Missouri in 1983 and he worked at Southwestern Bell as a procurement manager. Later, Roger started several businesses and worked in primary and secondary education after retirement.

 

Roger was a fan of American muscle cars, especially the fabled Pontiac GTO and appreciated hunting.

 

Roger was preceeded in death by his beloved parents Helen and Willie Perkins of Abilene, Texas.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Perkins of St. Charles, Missouri; his sister, Ruby Mathis of Abilene, Texas; his daughter, Kimberly Perkins McLeod of Silver Spring, Maryland; and son, Byron K. Perkins of St. Louis, Missouri. He is also survived by his three granddaughters — Mary Margaret Perkins, McKenna McLeod and Madeline McLeod.
